WeN2K Commentary If you haven't seen Avatar in 3D you are TRULY missing out on an extraordinary experience. For the first-time 3D viewer, you will be astounded at how objects actually appear to stand out against the rest of the background...even with several objects in a sort of layered affect. But with the Michael Jackson tribute at this year's Grammy Awards telecast - the "brains" behind this 3D "experience" seem to have fallen WAY short. One has to think the whole advertising campaign to retrieve the old red and blue glasses from Target and Best Buy was simply a big sham...resulting in the same affect you may have gotten when you saw the 3 Stooges 3D episode when you were little. The only problem is the Stooges were so funny it didn't matter. But after what James Cameron achieved with Avatar, these 3D antics like the Grammys' and other past offerings that fell short are simply not acceptable anymore - and reek of "put on". But maybe it's just us who feel this way?
